Our Montessori Program

Our program includes six interconnected curriculum areas that support the development of the whole child.

Culture

Sense of identity in a diverse society. Geography, history, art, music, botany, zoology, physical science, geology, and astronomy.

Practical Life

Independence, concentration, coordination, small and large motor skills, and care of the self and environment.

Sensorial

Order and organization. Refinement of the five senses—seeing, hearing, touching, tasting, and smelling—building a foundation for speech, writing, and math.

Language

Prewriting, sound and symbol relationships, writing, and reading. Learning to express through written and spoken language.

Mathematics

Patterning and categorization, quantity and symbol relationships, and place value leading to addition, multiplication, and subtraction into the thousands.

Movement

Refining fine motor, gross motor, auditory discrimination, and self-expression skills.
